I'm not going to lie, it was kinda refreshing to work on something not about the secret project. This image was commissioned by one of my oldest friends, JACOB MILNESTEIN. Jac is a brilliant novelist who I've known for well over a decade now. We first met doing online fan-fiction during the days of AOL and dial-up. I have since watched him get published, married and grow into an even better writer than I could ever hope to be. This illustration is a pre-visualization of the main character for his new opus. I could only hope to do it justice.
(And yes, that is an IRUINCLASSICS tee he's rocking. Hooray for selfish cross-promotion!)
In other news, despite it obviously being the year of SCOTT PILGRIM they are still apparently releasing other films this year. A notable one being one of my all-time favorite directors, DAVID FINCHER'S new film THE SOCIAL NETWORK, based on the founding of FACEBOOK.
